The Cookie Project is a social enterprise and Māori-owned business that looks to employ Kiwis with disabilities to fill various roles within the industry. The company values Manaaki, thrives on creating inclusion and diversity, and aims for world-class quality and creativity in making New Zealand’s best cookies.
The Cookie Project’s purpose is to help Kiwis with disabilities see their value in themselves and help society see the many employment gaps the disabled staff can fill with time and patience. Founded in 2018 by Graeme, the Cookie Project is a unique social enterprise, and the end goal is to give exposure to the disabled community and to what those who are a part of that community have to offer.
Partnership with Special Gifts
The Cookie Project came on board as a Special Gift Partner at the start of 2023. Since then, we have been excited to have their yummy butter cookies as one of the cookie options in our Special Gift Cookie boxes. We also enjoy meeting with their disabled bakers when we go to do our pickups.
